Q: When Does The Insurance Company “Total” A Vehicle?

A: Depending on your insurance carrier, there are different standards, but generally, a car is totaled when the cost of repairs exceed the current cash value of that vehicle. This determination is ultimately made by your insurance carrier.

Q: Do You Work With Different Insurance Companies?

A: Yes, we work with all insurance companies from the beginning of your repairs until the completion of your claim. By law, in the State of New Jersey, you are entitled to choose the repair facility where your vehicle will be repaired, even if it is not in your insurance company's "preferred network." Many carriers suggest or recommend certain shops; however, this does not mean you have to take your vehicle where they chose. Whether you are having your vehicle repaired through your insurance carrier, or you are the claimant with another carrier, you have the legal right and privilege to bring your vehicle to the shop of your choice. We take pride in negotiating all forms of insurance claims, with all carriers, to ensure your vehicle is repaired properly, and that the repair is fully covered and compensated for by the carrier.
