GO GREEN WITH PEOTTER’S AUTO BODY

Peotter’s Auto Body is committed to being environmentally responsible and utilizing green practices whenever possible. We are one of the first collision repair shops in New Jersey to convert our paints from solvent-borne to a water-borne system. Additionally, our repair facility is powered completely by solar energy. With Peotter’s Auto Body, you can get a beautiful looking car without hurting our beautiful planet in the process.

Water-Borne Paint

We use lower-VOC, water-borne paints in the process of restoring damaged cars. VOCs (volatile organic compounds) are known as smog precursors, and we want to do everything we can to curb the use of toxin-containing materials that harm the environment and human health. Water-borne paint also has a higher color percentage, so we can cover a car with fewer coats, thus reducing the amount of spray released into the air.

In addition to utilizing a water-borne paint system, we help the environment by maintaining other green practices, such as recycling damaged or unneeded parts made of metal, cardboard, and paper, rather than discarding them. We also use solar energy to power our entire three-level facility. On the roof, 137 solar panels not only cut our electric bill in half, but also minimize our carbon footprint.
